WriterDesk holds and is responsible for your data.

What we collect

Your phone number and name, for your account.

The details you enter in a deed.

ID images, only when you give consent.

Why we collect it

Only to prepare and keep your deeds.

How long we keep it

Deed text and its versions are kept as the professional record of a legal document, with no end date.

ID images are kept only until the deed is completed. If a deed is not completed, they are deleted 8 months after its last download.

Who it is shared with

No one. Only our hosting providers in India store the data.

Your rights

You can see, correct and delete your data.

To have a copy of your ID deleted without signing in, use the /delete-my-id page.

To delete your account, choose “Delete my account” in the account menu. Your own deeds are deleted. Deeds you made on a builder's project stay with the builder and show “Former user”.

Backups

Deleted data stays in backups until the backups expire.
